Careers: Information Architect

4SIGHT Communications has an immediate need for an experienced information architect. In this role, you will work with other 4SIGHT Communications team members and clients in designing and implementing web-based marketing solutions and applications. As the key link between the user’s needs and the client’s business objectives, you will draw upon user analysis, scenario development, heuristic information, branding requirements, and business needs to develop highly usable and intuitive solutions. You will guide the team in better understanding the user requirements in the solution and will create use cases, wireframes, process flows, sitemaps, navigation, and functional specifications. Finally, you will collaborate with team members and clients on ways to better apply 4SIGHT’s project methodology and technology infrastructure to create a better user experience and to deliver the best business result possible.

Other specific responsibilities:

• Consult with clients about their business goals to determine what solutions and strategies match their needs
• Collaborate closely with creative design team to ensure that final products meet user and client needs in an engaging and intuitive way
• Represent the end user throughout a project’s lifecycle
• Create wireframes, site flows and other materials necessary to convey the user interaction for specific and related web sites functions.
• Collaborate with Design and Development teams to build user interfaces.
• Work with the management to provide inputs into the overall vision for an Information Architecture strategy. Lead in its implementation across websites and systems.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 5+ years working in a related field, such as designing web sites and web-based applications
• Working knowledge of web standards and browser technologies including xHTML, CSS, AJAX and Javascript, and related technologies
• Demonstrated expertise with the principles of information architecture and user-centered design processes, techniques, and tools.
• A proven ability to self-manage and self-start under aggressive timelines
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
• A strong and demonstrable dedication to quality and detail balanced with creative thinking and problem solving
